描述：Disruption of the function of the Ras oncogene represents a target in the search of anticancer agents. This peptidomimetic derivative is the most potent synthetic inhibitor of p21ras farnesyltransferase (Ftase). It inhibited rat brain Ras Ftase activity in a dosedependent manner with an IC₅₀ value of 12 nM. Aromatic ring replacement by naphthylalanine maintained the intrinsic potency.
